About R Mohan Wound Care

Leading Wound, Ostomy & Continence Consulting Across Northeastern Ontario

Pressure injuries remain a significant yet largely preventable challenge in long-term care across Canada. National prevalence is estimated at approximately 26%, with evidence demonstrating that up to 75% of pressure injuries can be prevented through early risk identification, timely intervention, and consistent application of evidence-based best practices. Chronic and preventable wounds are estimated to cost the Canadian healthcare system more than $8–12 billion annually, underscoring the need for effective prevention and advanced wound management.
We are a leading Wound and Ostomy Consultation company in Ontario, dedicated to improving clinical outcomes in long-term care through evidence-based, resident-centred care. Our approach focuses on prevention, early intervention, advanced treatment planning, and close collaboration with Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy to support sustainable practice change.
We proudly support more than 30 long-term care homes across Ontario, partnering with interdisciplinary teams to reduce pressure injury prevalence to below the national average. We bring extensive expertise in managing complex wounds, including diabetic foot ulcers, arterial, venous and mixed etiology ulcers, surgical wounds, malignant wounds, and atypical wounds.
A cornerstone of our service is comprehensive education and in-service training for frontline staff. Through hands-on clinical teaching, we empower care teams to identify risk early, implement best practices with confidence, and deliver consistent, high-quality wound care.
Our clinicians hold advanced credentials, including Master’s in Wound Healing ( MCISc-WH), NSWOC, WOCC (C), and IIWCC certifications. By integrating advanced clinical expertise, ongoing education, and hands-on consultation support, we help long-term care homes improve healing outcomes, enhance resident quality of life, and meet regulatory and quality improvement standards.
At the core of our work is a commitment to collaboration, accountability, and measurable results.
